Cookies & Local Storage

RIDBUSTERS uses a small amount of browser storage to make the website and its requested features work.
The current website does not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels or cross-site behavioural tracking. Because no optional tracking technology is currently used, RIDBUSTERS does not display a general “Accept cookies” banner.
1. HQ access
AUTH_SESSION
Purpose: remembers that the HQ password was successfully entered.
Type: necessary session/authentication cookie.
Typical lifetime: up to 7 days.
It is not used to create an advertising or behavioural profile.
2. Language and interface preferences
RIDBUSTERS may use browser storage such as:
rb-locale;rb-locale-explicit;rb-intro-seen;ridbusters_ai_notice_seen;- temporary session-storage navigation keys.
These values remember a visitor’s language and interface choices or prevent unnecessary repetition of an intro or AI notice.
They are not used for advertising.
3. Local AI conversation history
The AI chat uses device-local browser storage such as:
ridbusters.chat.*;ridbusters.summary.*;- a last-activity timestamp for the relevant character conversation.
This storage allows a fictional character to keep conversational context between visits on the same device.
The history is stored on the visitor’s device rather than in a RIDBUSTERS user-account database.
Local AI conversation history is designed to expire 30 days after the last activity in that character chat.
Visitors can also use Clear chat to delete the selected character’s local conversation history and summary immediately.
Chat text still has to be transmitted to the AI service when the visitor actively uses the AI chat so that a reply can be generated. See the Privacy Policy for details.
4. Analytics and advertising
At the date of this policy:
- no advertising cookies are used;
- no Meta/TikTok or similar advertising pixels are used;
- no cross-site behavioural tracking is used;
- no website analytics service requiring optional tracking consent was detected in the audited application.
If RIDBUSTERS introduces optional analytics, marketing or tracking technology in the future, this policy and the consent mechanism will be reviewed before that technology is activated.
