RIDBUSTERS uses artificial intelligence to make parts of its fictional world interactive.
This page explains the most important rules for younger visitors, parents and guardians.
The most important thing to know
Maya, Ella, Ryan and other characters you may chat with on this website are fictional AI characters. They are not real people.
Their replies are generated by artificial intelligence.
AI can make mistakes, misunderstand a question or invent a detail.
Keep private information private
Please do not tell an AI character:
- your full legal name;
- your home address;
- your school or classroom;
- your phone number;
- your passwords;
- your exact current location;
- payment details;
- highly private information about yourself or another person.
You do not need to provide this information to enjoy RIDBUSTERS.
What the AI characters are for
The characters are intended for:
- conversations about the RIDBUSTERS world and books;
- fictional adventures;
- riddles and investigations;
- critical-thinking activities;
- age-appropriate questions and conversation;
- encouraging curiosity and reading.
They are not a replacement for a parent, teacher, doctor, lawyer, counsellor or emergency service.
Conversation history
Conversation history is stored locally on the device you use so that a character can keep context between visits.
It is designed to expire 30 days after the last activity in that character conversation.
You can also use Clear chat at any time to remove that character’s local conversation history.
When you actively use AI chat, the text needed to generate the reply is transmitted to the AI provider as explained in the Privacy Policy.
If something feels wrong
If an AI reply seems strange, incorrect, upsetting or unsafe:
- stop the conversation;
- do not follow the advice;
- speak with a parent, guardian, teacher or another trusted adult;
- contact RIDBUSTERS if you want to report a problem.
For parents and guardians
The current RIDBUSTERS website does not require a child to create a personal account.
HQ uses password access rather than an individual child profile.
RIDBUSTERS does not currently use behavioural advertising or create advertising profiles from AI conversations.

A visitor should be able to understand that a RIDBUSTERS AI character is artificial intelligence rather than a human being.
